Freedom Messenger - A social expert and Tehran University professor, Dr. Mohammad Hossein Farjad, cited the increase of the unemployment rate among Iranian women in an interview with ILNA [state-run news agency] and said, “Despite the fact that the level of Iranian women’s education has remarkably increased in comparison to past years, currently we see that the state of Iran’s labor market is not appropriate for women as compared to men”.
“Currently the economic and social growth is one of the main elements behind women’s presence in social activities” he said adding that 50 percent of the global work force were women. (ILNA state-run News Agency – Dec. 11, 2011)
